Update

Okay, Sue and I just spent the last two hours in a pub with a wonderful English couple who gave us their phone number and have promised to rescue us if needed. It does not matter that we have no phone service! I think a book about our adventure just might outsell A Walk In The Woods by Bill Bryson. Sue is threatening to sleep in her clothes tonight. I am not nervous but she is a bit panicked. I realise this place is substandard but I really think they are good, hardworking people trying to eke out a living by renting rooms. On to Shap tomorrow, we are riding in the van with out luggage! Hoping to spend the day in another lovely village and then back to the trail on Wednesday! Stay tuned for the next instalment!
